Ride Time, Route & Why These Stops

Typical tour time: ~1 hr 30 min Drive time: ~20–30 min total Photo / walk time: ~60–70 min

This Scenic City Loop is designed to give you the “greatest hits” of Coeur d’Alene in a single, smooth circuit—without rushing you through the best viewpoints. The route stays compact on purpose: short drives between stops keep the tour comfortable, reduce backtracking, and maximize time on the ground where it matters—lake views, boardwalk energy, and easy-to-reach photo spots.

We start near the downtown core where Coeur d’Alene’s personality shows up immediately—Sherman Avenue’s storefronts, café options, and the walkable waterfront vibe. From there, we move into McEuen Park for open skyline-and-lake photos, then drop into Tubbs Hill’s trailhead area to give you a taste of North Idaho forest meeting the shoreline. The Boardwalk stop adds classic resort waterfront scenery—boats, docks, and that signature postcard look—before we finish near the NIC / beach area where the lake feels calmer and wide-open. The final stop loops you back to the starting point so the tour ends cleanly with no confusion about where you are.

  • Balanced mix: downtown energy + parks + shoreline trail + iconic boardwalk views.
  • Smart pacing: stops are close together, so you get more time for photos and short walks.
  • Comfort first: minimal long driving, easy exits/returns, and predictable timing.
  • Best-light friendly: great at golden hour—especially McEuen, the Boardwalk, and the NIC shoreline.
